You enjoy working directly with guests, and you greet everyone with a welcoming and positive attitude. You have a keen attention to detail, able to remember each guests orders while also suggesting menu items based on their taste preferences. You’re adept at carrying trays of drinks and small plates across a crowded bar space, and you don’t panic or when things get hectic or busy.
Job Details:
$10-15/hr plus tips (owners will never withhold tips)
Expected 15-30 hrs/week on site
Work schedule varies and may include working different shifts and holidays
Night and weekend work is a must
Critical Responsibilities:
Guest Experience:
Ensure all guests feel accommodated and taken care of
Take guest orders and suggest cocktails based on guest flavor preferences
Serve cocktails and food with care, remembering each guests individual order(s)
Gently manage intoxicated guests and know when to stop serving them
Ask guests about allergies or other food restrictions, and Inform guests of all menu allergens
ID all guests to ensure all guests are 21+ (if no host/hostess present)
Qualifications (required):
TIPS certified or equivalent
Must be able to work on your feet for multiple hours in a row
Must be able to carry trays laden with food and drinks
Beneficial Skills and Experience (not required):
Prior experience in similar roles at a bar and/or restaurant
Knowledge of Korean food and beverages, especially soju
Multilingual
